Give me a contract with the dismissal pack + tribute
Written on August 28, 2008
Jesus Encinar speech yesterday Mr Simon Baker, a guy who, as the post explains, "pulled off the street and gave a name" to REA Group, which specializes in real estate portals that were billed 25 employees and € 2M and went, thanks to this gentleman (as CEO), 750 employees and 88M € bill. Spectacular. Well, this man has been fired recently and, as explained in the same gentleman in his blog, seems not to have made him a high tribute for what he could not even say goodbye to his teammates.
Let's see, Mr. came in with a contract, a variable remuneration for objective and certainly the final tribute was not in the contract. Shareholders, or the big boss have grown tired of Mr. or consider that Simon Baker is fit for the next step in the company and has been out of the way as discreetly as possible. Y punto pelota.
This is different in Spain I think by law. In the U.S. the dismissal you will pay with the pay and the day that you decide pyres, which do not have let you in on your position, you draw your stuff and no longer work. In Spain we have a guy working reluctantly in the best case for 15 days until the pile or are fired. In the worst is passed 15 days fucking each other with which the company is a mess and such. And there is the paradox that the clerk fired for bad work, you pay a pasta (more right to strike) and good worker to be good, he goes with one hand in front and one behind.
It seems unprofessional behavior of some professionals who left after the eggs for a company claim that they never appreciated. It is impersonal and not very human but I hired for a job and a salary + variable pay targets that you religiously. The plus of effort you give for the commitment and doing good innate good staff in exchange for proud of your work. Friends, if you do, I'll do the tribute.
Sets whether the item is impersonal for many people, seeing the upturn that have given the company's shares in recent days: REA. After a significant downturn in recent months because obviously the global housing crisis (nothing to do with Mr Baker, of course).
These things are tributes to football because that cashing television and sell the remaining shirts and not surprise me that he was in contract.
