Póngame a contract with the pack dismissal + tribute

Written on August 28, 2008

Encinar Jesus spoke yesterday of Mr Simon Baker, a guy who, says the post, "drew from the street and gave a name" to REA Group, a firm specializing in real estate portals that were billed and 25 employees and spent € 2M, thanks to this gentleman (as CEO), with 750 employees and € 88m bill. Spectacular. Well, this gentleman has been fired recently and, as the same Mr explains in his blog, it seems that you have not done a tribute for the heights, could not even say goodbye to their comrades.

Let's see, Mr. entered into a contract with a variable remuneration for objective and certainly not the final tribute was in the contract. The shareholders or the big boss have been tired or feel that Mr Simon Baker does not serve for the next step in the company and has been removed in the midst of the most discreetly as possible. And point ball.

This is different in Spain I think the law. U.S. dismissal you are going to pay the salary, the day that you decide pyres, have neither let it go to your job, you get your stuff and no longer work. In Spain we have a guy working reluctantly in the best cases for 15 days until the pyre or fired. In the worst case is passed 15 days screwing the other with which the company is a mess and such. And there is the paradox that the employee fired for working poor, you pay a pasta (more right to strike) and good worker who is good, is going ahead with one hand and another behind.

I find it unprofessional behavior of some professionals who left after the eggs by one company complained that it was never appreciated. It is impersonal and not human but you are hired for a job and a salary + variable target that you are paying religiously. The more effort you give the engagement and the good done by the innate good professionals in exchange for feeling proud of your work. The friends, if you did, and you do the tribute.

If impersonal sets the theme for many people, seeing the rebound that gave the shares in recent days: REA. After a considerable downturn in recent months because obviously the crisis of global real estate (nothing to do with Mr Baker, of course).

These things are the tributes to football because that would draw slice of television and sell the remaining shirts and I am not surprised it was in a contract.
